About a year after her first appearance, Dini and Timm won an Eisner Award for their one-shot comic story The Batman Adventures: Mad Love, which explored the tragedy of her origin story for the first time. The final five episodes of Season One were held back until September 1993. To his horror, Batman discovers that he was once an ordinary thief named Victor Fries that he had chased before, who fell into a cryogenic chamber during the pursuit, and was mutated as the result of a freak accident when the chamber cryogenically froze him at the same time that he was being electrocuted. Barbara Gordon again becomes Batgirl to investigate, only to run into Catwoman, who is also investigating, pointing out that the acid residue used to destroy the security system is not her style. Batman and Robin split up to nab the criminal mastermind behind the scheme. Batman and Batgirl soon discover that Poison Ivy is responsible and that she has replaced the officials with plant-based copies, leading the pair to stop her and her clones, while finding where the real officials have been taken to.
Meanwhile, has-been actor Basil Karlo steals the mutagen responsible for mutating Bennett and becomes the new Clayface. Although weary of his friend, Alfred agrees, unaware that the treasure being sought out for, is the target of both Penguin and Mr. The main characters are voiced by Kevin Conroy as Batman, Efrem Zimbalist Jr. When Alfred is taken hostage during the heist, Bruce finds himself needing to the cameras and become Batman in order to stop Penguin, although the show's film crew is eager to capture the moment on camera. Villains include the Joker, the Penguin, Mr. Batman had promised to be there, but arrives late to find a gun battle going on.
A brutal fight between Batman and Detective Bullock ensues, during which Batman pushes Bullock onto the Bat Signal, and reveals him to actually be an android, meaning that the real Bullock and James Gordon have gone missing, and Batman knows who the culprit is: H. The pair quickly learn that they are connected to a project being worked upon by a scientist named Dr. Batman finds himself forced to contront the crook before he can achieve his goal. Batman discovers that the pair are planning something big as he pursues both, and soon he finds himself attempting to stop them from stealing the gold reserves at Gotham Bank. With the venom soon beginning to affect him and transform him into the new Joker, Batman must recover the venom in order to create an antidote before planning to take down Joker, who soon collides with the Penguin when the latter commits a bank heist. When his utility belt is stolen by her, he soon faces problems in the Bat-Cave, before discovering that she plans to use his remote-controlled batarang to make a second attempt on the figurine, unaware that the owner is more than they seem. Eager to beat him, Batman decides to lay a trap to lure both him and Catwoman, with the bait being some priceless gems a gangster hid in one of the Wayne family's properties - a clock tower. Now, the Clown Prince of Crime wants to seek his revenge, and Batman and Robin must foil the Joker's plot. Note: This episode won the series a 1993 for Outstanding Writing in an Animated Program. Batman is meant to be a force of nature who seems unstoppable, so the times in the show he expressed genuine anger or heart felt special to me. They then meet again to learn that Gil is working with Two-Face to take out Gordon, and have Batman as Matches Malone captured. Batman isn't the only one.
During their investigation, Bullock learns that his gruff and mean-spirited manner has created enemies in the unlikeliest of people. He soon finds the right person in Donnie, a misguided prankster who attends classes at the same high school as Barbara. This is one of the best ones. There, the Dark Knight is forced into a terrifying battle with an ancient Egyptian sorceress. At the same time, a spate of break-ins at tech firms leads Batman to meeting Firefly, a criminal who uses flame-based weaponry, a heavily armoured suit, a potently enhanced jetpack, to carry out his crimes. Batman must stop the ruthless vampire before he turns everyone in the city into his mindless minions. Six months later, Bolton becomes the vigilante Lock-Up, and decides to put who he feels responsible for the ruin of the city behind bars. He encounters Batgirl along the way, and go their separate ways to stop Mason. Originally hired by Rupert Thorne to kill Batman, Bane plans on taking control of Thorne's criminal empire once Batman is destroyed. Then, he targets innocent men who refuse to copyright his Joker fish.
Seeking to find out more, Bruce discovers that Alfred and the butlers of some billionaires he works with, were hypnotised by Spellbinder, a three-eyed mystic with the ability not only to hypnotise but also induce visions. Whenever a single person becomes agitated, the fear chemical kicks in, turning his excitement to fear. Both Batman and Yin realise that Joker's invention caused the change, and soon find themselves working together to stop him, when he decides to use his new-found powers to go after Chief Rojas. The real perpetrator is an actor and master of disguise named Matt Hagen, who was disfigured in a car accident years ago. When she realises that Donnie is Joker's new sidekick called Prank, she and Batman find themselves trying to convince him that Joker is not a good role model to have. It becomes clear through what he stole that Croc plans to flood the city's districts that lie below sea level with the use of the city's water pumps, in order to plunder them, no matter how many lives could be lost with his plan.
